I agree with others who have replied, first try local but you still can't find any chicks I highly recommend Meyer Hatchery as well. I could breed my own
birds, hatch out the eggs ( in fact I have two great incubators ) but Meyer sells them sexed so I don't have to end up with half males that no one in my
area wants. Their 'All Pullet Rainbow Assortment' is wonderful - minimum is 25 - I have two of their assortments in my brooders right now and have another 25 chicks from them on order to arrive mid March. I got my original flock from them as well and now I'm on 3rd generation of the original birds
and am very pleased.
