Does anyone still name their car/truck?

I have named every car I have ever owned. At present, we have a non-running blue Neon named Nelly, my scooter named Bella Rosa, and our Isuzu Trooper named Izzie.

Other vehicles over the years have been named Sylvia, Veronica, Lucy, Gertrude, and of course, Betsy.

Don't know if I should admit this or not...but YES...I name my cars.

It all started with that ever promising first car at the tender age of 18...my extremely used 1980 silver Ford T-Bird...The Silver Bullet...because I drove like most teenagers in the 80s....hair metal blowing out the speakers going as fast as a bullet. Sigh, I loved that car. I currently own a 2002 PT Cruiser Dream Cruiser that I call Petey. Trying to get up a very steep hill (PT Cruisers are not necessarily known for their speed or acceleration abilities by any means) and I shouted "C'mon PT you can do it!" Sounded like Petey and it just sort of stuck.

Me and my friend dubbed her grandma's Van the rolling turd. My grandma has a car the same color an it's the rolling turd mini. I also have an old truck named "the epic cow truck"

We have a 2008 Tundra with double cab and 8ft bed. We call it “The Tank” since she is very very long, doesn’t like tight curves and sucks a lot of gas. The two Priuses are named Stewie and Betty.

My husband has an Ford 4 door king cab thingie named Bertha. He talks to her and pats the dash all the time.....

My Mustang's name is Phil.

He's also silver, so sometimes I say "Hi-hooo SIIIILLLVVERRRRR" and then I pat him on the dash as if to thank him for making it thus far

The camper van = "The Can"

Now my Harley!? When I was thinking of buying my first bike at 47yo, I asked a good friend if I was out of my mind. He's been riding for over 25 years and said, "Girl, put your feet up on the pegs, grab the ears and twist and GET you some!"
