Does anyone successfully collect their eggs less often than daily?

With my original 6 girls I collected the eggs every other day sometimes. I figured they would either sit on a counter where I keep them for a few day before I refridgerate them or a day in the nest boxes. The girls didn't seem to care.

My "girls" are lazy...if I try to collect eggs before I go to work @ 6:15 am there are none. I usually collect eggs in the evening when I am doing chores for everyone. Every once in a while a crisis occurs and chores get put off this the following morning...not often but it has happened a few times. Knock on wood...so far no hen has eaten any eggs as of yet.

Well, the girls are in their new home. A few eggs were laid in celebration. It feels weird not having them here where I can see them. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we can all be there.
