Just one additional note. If you get one, get the high intensity unit, it's much better for dark eggs based upon the reviews I looked at.
Thanks to those that have tried it and like it. I wonder how much better that high intensity version is since I will be doing normal brown eggs and not Marans. This OvaScope Viewer is already expensive at $65 and the high intensity is another $20.
It is hand held though. I either hold the egg and stick the candler on top to check them or I just put the candler on top of the eggs in the incubator to have a look.
