Does anyone use the search function on this site?

I use the search function.. But some times it comes up with to many results.. And some of the results dont help.. But other times they do.. I do a search quiet often, so I can see some of the older theads.. Some I may miss if I am off of the computer for a few days..

Yeah, but you still need to have the same word order, or at least know what the other person spells like, too. With the Amish White Bread example, if someone couldn't remember the bread, or thought it was Mennonite or Friendship bread, they'd still run into trouble. I search by author if I know I saw a specific person post some info, or by post, or by subject. Try searching by post with a phrase like "double yolk" and you still get 39 pages, from all over the place thread-wise.

Wish I'd know that yesterday.

Thanks for pointing it out!

Sometimes I think people post just to get to know people and be an active member. It doesn't bother me, I just don't respond if I've answered the same question already...

Should my Ameraucana have tufts?

Or No you Amerucana should not be tuft as long as you butcher it while it is still young, if too old then yes it will be tuft, but then you can always use it for soup. You can never have too many egg noodles for you soup. Mmmmm Egg noodles, another use for eggs.

I might use the search function more often now! Didn't realize you could do this. I always tried searches (without selecting the post option) and always found it to overwhelming to sift through all of the results, none of which seemed to really pinpoint an answer I was looking for.

If someone post a topic about scaley legs for instance and they post again needing more suggestions, I will guide them to the blue bar on top of the page and tell them to click the 'search' tab and go from there. I had to teach myself with a little help from some other BYC members. Now, if it is an emergency I can understand posting first then going to the search bar while waiting for a response from someone. Besides, posting the same thing every now and then just freshens our memory and we say to ourselves ''Oh yea, I forgot about that."
