Does anyone use those leg bands to tell the chickens apart?

I have 2 buff brahmas and 4 white silkies and I want to use them to help tell them apart but when I went on line to but them, there are so many sizes. How do I know what size to get? My chickens are all bantams.

Also, do they peck at these bands b/c they look so different?

For such a small number of birds consider colored zip ties and different legs. You can adjust to fit.

I have colored spiral bands on my hens so I can tell who is who.

I use Zap straps they come in all colours

I really can't remeber where I got them from but it was from a place that also sold pheasant supplies. I got a package of assorted colred bands for a few dollars. Spiral bands are thin plastic tubing cut into lentghs that "curl" up into a circle. Very easy to get on the birds.
