I love that family; they were so smart when young marrieds and bought the commerical properties for rentals, and their patience with their kids and each other is so nice to see. I love to watch it, and their schedule just amazes me. We raised 5 kids and all their friends it seemed, and her laundry room just made me drool, to say nothing of that pantry!!!!

I watch it. I don't know when it's on regularily but watch it when I catch it. I'm sure they're all repeats.
I don't 'agree' (for lack of a better word) with some of the things they believe in (like no dancing) BUT they're all so well behaved and I certainly wish i could stay home all day with my son and travel with him as well. They seem to be a very happy family and have great communication etc. Great family!

I also watch it every week, the kids are so well behaved, and everything seems to run really orderly. I don't agree with the no dancing or how the 4 oldest girls seem to have an over abundance of chores though.

Nope. Here all about them from word of mouth. I live in Arkansas, south of them. For some reason it's lost the "wow" factor with us. We hear she's got number 19 on the way and you just have to say "does it suprise you?".

Ps I still think she's crazy though. I think her counter's broke. I figured she'd snapped an "O" ring or something by now.

I watch it sometimes. My feelings are mixed on this family. On one hand, they seem like decent people, on the other hand, there are some aspects of their lives that annoy me. Still, I would rather have coffee with them then a lot of other reality stars that I come to mind.I like that the Duggar parents seem to actually like one another and that the kids, for the most part, get along. I get tired of the way the media depicts all siblings as disliking one another.

I have to admit the whole NIKE thing struck me as counterproductive. In case, someone who doesn't watch the show is reading this thread. The Duggar girls for some reason are responsible for helping their brothers remain mentally pure. So when they see a immodest dressed woman(according to the daughter, it can be a woman without sleeves) they shout Nike so the boys have to look down.

This strikes me as counterproductive for several reasons. First, it means that the girls are drawing attention to something that the boys might not have noticed anyway. Second, who can judge what tempts another person as our temptations vary by individual. For all the girls know, one of the boys is tempted by feet. Looking down might be the worst thing for him. THird, eventually these young men will have to deal with girls who choose to wear clothing that they consider immodest. How will they do that without their sisters being present? Fourth, no one seems to consider that young girls can enjoy looking at handsome young men. (Read the Mike Rowe threads if you don't believe me

I like the family far more then I disagree with some of their odder lifestyle choices though. I can ignore the entire NIKE thing, even if it seems a bit ill thought out. I will admit that the NIKE show did prduce some very interesting conversations with my kids that I wouldn't have had otherwise.

I like John David a lot. He seems like a sweet, but shy young man.

So THAT'S who those people are!!!!

They come into our Wal-Mart and I always think "Great...we get to get yelled at by management because the lines are long..." They all bunch up and make the lines look REALLY long.
