Does anyone work from home & make a living?

Meanwhile you could start finding ways to cut back for better use of your hubby's paycheck.

We actually were better off when I quit my part time job and stayed home! I cooked more and purchased better and cheaper meals than eating out. Saved a bunch on gas and buying clothes to wear for work. Cut out the frills that we didn't really need.
You don't need to buy newspapers (can read online) and books and magazines are free to read at libraries.

Selling your unwanted stuff thru e-bay or yard sales. Learning to BUY them that way instead of new...

I know our hobbies are one expense that is hard to cut down on. I know several who sell off the majority of their flocks before going into winter. Right now horses are cheap, I have even been offered money to TAKE them... With high cost of feed and hay I can see why people cannot keep them.

I know this is an old thread-- just wanted to share for those still browsing

I was working @ alpineaccess.com. Over all I really enjoyed it. Was making $10 an hour to take calls from home. Day shift is MUCH easier. Lower call volume. Over time is always offered on most programs. I was still able to Homeschool my kids while taking calls-- but my kids are older- not something to try with little ones.

There are several other companies but alpine actually is one of the better ones with lots of high dollar accounts. I went to work with them so we could buy our farm. Once we moved to the farm I could no longer have cable Internet so I discontinued working for them.

I would not even attempt taking calls with dsl-- the faster you can do your job the easier it is-- also a good computer & a comfy chair.

Alpine does do a credit check prior to hiring since you are taking people's financial information over the phone.

Sorry. My typo-- while using my phone! Alpineaccess.com

If that doesn't work google them! Sorry!!!!

Edited the original. Just want to add they don't hire in all states and some programs are state specific. Hope it helps someone! They usually have a big hiring surge this month, for Christmas rush.
