Does coloring on chicks mean anything?

Peaches brood is 6 days old. They are supposed to be 3 Speckled Sussex and 3 Silver Laced Wyandotte. Any thoughts on their breed, or gender?

Yeah. I know. I remembered reading about some breeds that the shade of brown or the percentage of white could tell the gender but I don’t remember which breeds I was reading about. So now I wondered if these might be those breeds.

If they are sex linked or auto sexing.. neither of these breeds are.

Those do look right for both breeds stated. Many other chicks can look very similar to the SS.
