Just curious, I didn't notice a drop last summer but it's been HOT the last week and I haven't gotten hardly any eggs :/ I have a fan in the coop and it's open to get a good breeze going through it. Anyway it just made me wonder about heat still though as the possible reason OR maybe my hens have reached the end of their egg laying :(

Extreme heat can act as a stressor and may reduce egg production. It may also be a possibility that your hens are just taking a break in their laying cycle. They may molt, rest a bit and then resume egg production.

Sounds good thank you :)

How old are your hens?
Do you free range?
I have some drop off on really hot days.
