Does heat lead to no eggs?

Right now I have 5, 21 week old chickens, they are on layer feed have large combs and wattles, but are not squatting or laying. Any ideas on why they aren't laying eggs yet?

Pullets start laying eggs when they are ready, and not before. if they are free ranging, it's possible some are hiding eggs in private nests out there. Keep them in until afternoon, at least, so they consider nest boxes the right place. golf balls or fake eggs in nests helps too.
Layer feed is meant for actively laying birds only! Continue with an unmedicated chick feed or an all flock feed, either forever, or at least until they are all producing eggs. have oyster shell in a separate feeder for any who need it.

Give it three weeks or so. My hens have been laying fine and I’m in the Deep South. We’ve had unusually hot weather this year.
My girls all started laying at around 6 to 8 months old.

Then they're probably not ready yet. I agree with Cheeki and Folly's Place. You'll be getting eggs before you know it! :)
