Don't you know, the minute you make plans for the tax money, poof it's gone. Happens every time. We already have this years spent and of course we can't file for it til the first of February.....

We needed a new A/C but put it off for so long after hearing about my DH's co-worker having to spend $10,000 for a new AC unit and new ductwork so the new AC would fit. We finally had no choice.... it cost $4000. No new ductwork needed.
What is wrong with your duct work?
I feel for you on the septic field. Our septic system bites. Called to have it pumped, they said "That's not a septic tank. I don't know what it is, but that isn't a septic tank. And there are no leach lines. We've searched everywhere for them."

the duct work is so rigged it is a shame! I will get a couple offers just to save some $$. I did that with the septic and wound up saving 1,000.
The poak tree in the backyard and being so close to water messed up the drain fields. So we got a lift station, drain fields and 300 gallon extra tank for $3,000. I mean at least it is done and we don't have to worry about it~

We've been planning on taking a vacation with ours, then something happens and poof. 10 years of marriage still no trip.
25 years... and still no trip. it doesn't get any easier. Go now, worry about paying for it later. That sounds irresponsible, but where has responsibility gotten me?...literally no where. I'm in the same county i was born in.

OK, i am girling this one! The intake box is the wrong size and needs to be ripped out from the hall to outside. We need to add 2 boxes and send them into the living room and Britt's room. They have no air right noew(converted rooms) We have to duct tape around the filter cause it is some crazy size. I am gonna get some other estimates so i can see if there is anyway to re-rig it! LOL
