Crowing
Today I noticed that one of my 4 year old blue swedish ducks (Duck, is her name) doesn't want to eat and her crop is full looking and feels like there's a lot of liquid in it. She went to go eat and she kind of just touched the food with her bill, she's been drinking water and I haven't been able to see her poop today I think I saw one poop of hers but I wasn't sure if it belonged to her.
Her breath does not smell, from what I could tell when I smelled it earlier.
These are her symptoms.
1. She doesn't seem to want to eat but still drinks
2. She's been preening and acts almost like her self but a little slower
3. Her crop feels full of liquid
Reasons I think she might be having these issues
1. I gave them some bread yesterday
2. And I don't really know what else could have caused this other than the bread and a few other things that kind of mix together with the bread thing.
What Duck ate two days ago.
On the 8th she had wet mashed all flock, some scratch grain (not more than barely a hand full)
On the 9th she had wet mashed all flock but less then usual and more than usual scratch grain.
Why I gave her bread in the first place
On the 8th we had almost completely ran out of all flock, yesterday (the 9th) I had to give the chickens and ducks mostly just scratch grain, I gave them quit a bit more than I usually do to make up for almost no all flock. A few hours after that I gave them some bread to hopefully make them full enough to be comfortable and so they'd quite down a bit. I even put the tiniest bit of dry cat food out there which I think the chickens ate but none of the ducks ate, I put a few ml of nutri-drench in two of their waterers as well.
We got more all flock yesterday at around 2:00pm, so I gave them some all flock like I usually do and they were all happy after that. They free range all day everyday from around 8:00am or earlier to 9:00pm.
Her crop is noticeably larger then usual especially before she's had anything to eat or drink.
Hopefully this wasn't too long and you're able to understand everything clearly (I sometimes suck at writing in an orderly manner I feel like). And I'm worried about Duck I'm hoping whatever's going on with her can resolve itself or is easy to treat.
Thank you, for reading this and for any info or advice you give!
