I have a two year old Black Langshan, and I'm wondering if she has spurs. I'd like to know if they really are spurs, or something else that could be serious or important. I am positive she is a hen, because she lays eggs and looks like a female in all other aspects. The spurs are above her back toe, and they're about a 1/2 inch long and they never appear to be hurting her when she sits, so they're not a problem, but I'm curious if they really are spurs. I have pictures of the hen (the picture was taken in winter, so the grass is dead) and her feet, but I could only get a clear picture of one foot. The grass is long right now and she doesn't like to show off her feathery little tootsies! lol
