Does my mother duck need friends her age?

hi! i recently adopted a mother call duck and some ducklings (six ducklings, they appear to be too young for me to sex without a vent check, which i’m not comfortable doing yet.) i know that ducks are extremely social animals, so i was wondering if she still needs some companions of her age, or if she’ll be alright with her ducklings. i don’t have any photos yet because she’s quite broody and i wanna let her do her thing.

She would not see other ducks as friends right now, but as a threat to her babies. So no, she does not need friends. Those babies will grow faster than you can believe and she will be just fine with just them.

I agree with @cheezenwackers. Those babies will be all the company momma needs right now, and she would not appreciate new peers.
