He's a 16 wk old BO roo. His only flock mate is a RIR pullet. I kept them both inside until they were nearly full sized and I still bring them in at night because I haven't been able to mosquito proof their coop. They have the freedom of the 50x150 fenced part of the yard during the day. The problem is that Dubloon crows constantly when I'm out of sight. I counted 8 times in 10 minutes. Sometimes it's even more rapid- like crow, breath, crow. He doesn't do it if I stay with him. Any ideas?

It would probably help if he had more girls to take up his time. I had a RIR cockerel and pullet kept alone together and he crowed a lot too....when he wasn't harrassing his girl. I think if he had 5 girls to harrass, he might crow less.

Thanks, that's the plan for September. He really doesn't bother her much, though. She's pretty resistant and he's kind of a wuss. Maybe that's his problem?
