Does my TSC “Ameraucana”/Easter Egger Look Like A Roo?

Apparently this year for me is the year of me thinking I have a Roo super early, but in all fairness last time I was right and have a lovely australorp roo named Kylo Ren.

I know it’s still early and I may be getting ahead of myself, but I noticed one of my 4 week old “Ameraucanas” I got from TSC (so, Easter Egger) has yellow legs unlike her sister, and her comb is far more developed. Pictures below. As far as I know, EEs should have slate/green/dark legs not yellow - so I don’t know what the heck is going on. She is beautiful, sweet, and quiet and I’m sad to think she may be a boy.

Does anyone have any thoughts here? I’m really hoping I don’t have a second Roo…the thought of them fighting or harming my hens is too much. Luckily I have time…

Oh crumb. That’s what I’m leaning towards too and I guess I’ve chosen denial for the time being...

Definitely a roo. That's what happened to both our batches from TSC, and they weren't even a straight run! We ended up with two this year, same early signs as yours with the pronounced comb.

Oooh! She looks so much like her Ameraucana sister except the comb and legs, but hey—a Brown Leghorn Pullet would be 10x better than another Roo

Yup, definitely a bin-hopping Brown Leghorn pullet, not an Easter-egger.

Just as a bit of extra reassurance, here was my Brown Leghorn hen at that age:




And yes, she definitely was a hen, even with that comb coming in so early:

This is so so so reassuring!!! I didn’t realize brown leghorns had that chipmunk look a similar babies too, I will be delighted to have a random white egg layer
