I read the threads on Oxine AH so, I oredered 2 gallons and a fogger. The oxine AH arrived on Saturday. I hadn't seen anywhere that it needed to be refridgerated but, it is clearly marked "Keep refridgerated" Please tell me does it need to be?

I've never kept it refrigerated. Here's a blurb from Revival's website re storage:

Storage and Disposal

Product Storage:
Store in a cool, dry well ventilated location away from acids, chlorine and chlorine compounds, hypochlorites (bleach), organic solvents, sulfur, and sulfite compounds, phosphorus, combustible/flammable materials, and direct sunlight. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use and open carefully to prevent spillage. Storage on wooden floors or pallets is not recommended. Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

I ordered it from Revival and they shipped it with 6 large gel ice packs wraped around the bottles . It also had instructions taped to the lids that say Keep Refridgerated. I understand they sell vaccines but, my order was just the oxine and it's winter and cold So I don't get it

Were the packs frozen? It's funny you should mention this. I just received an order as well and called them about the packs (which weren't frozen). They mentioned to me that they put the packs around the container to keep it "from" freezing.

I'm probably grasping at straws here, but, I'm thinking heat and Oxine don't play well together. Perhaps the unfrozen gel packs provide just enough insulation to keep the Oxine from freezing without heating it up. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I'm just glad to know I don't have to keep it refridgerated! My hugh garage fridge has enough room for now but, by the time the hens really go in to fun time production it get full pretty fast.

Oxine will lose effectiveness if exposed to sunlight extensively, however.
Myself, I'd like to keep some diluted unactivated Oxine in a spray bottle handy for periodic use, but I haven't got a non-transparent one. I may spray paint one...
