Hello desperately need advice. Please!

I have 6 ducklings about a 3/4 weeks. Bought from tsc. They are clearly sick. Raspy and panting and heaving breathing. I finally got the powder oxytretacycline 10% powder. The dosage on bag is one teaspoon to gallon water. I was doing that, then I read somewhere else 2500 ml per littre of water so for a gallon that would b 1.89 teaspoons. Then I read another thread of 1 tablespoon per gallon!

They are eating drinking pooping and more pooping. Two seem to not be as strong as the others.

Does anyone know the correct dosage???

Thank you so much!!!!

Would be eternally grateful for anyone’s knowledge.

@Francine123 I am unsure that your ducklings have respiratory infections.

Do you have a thermometer in your brooder. Ducklings pant when they are too hot.

What bedding are you using? Fine pine shavings are too dusty and can cause raspy breathing. Cedar shavings give off volatile chemicals that are dangerous for ducks respiratory systems

Its good news that they are eating drinking and pooping. Are they moving around actively?
