Does she look like wet feather?

Pics
I checked her oil gland and it seems to working, though really don't know what I should be looking at :confused:While checking it, she just seemed so wet. I dried her off as best as I could. Today's high is 34 so I'm just worried about her being wet and cold.

I have a duck who seems like she's wet when she was molting. But I saw her preen and and now it's been very cold. Molt is over for her. Her chest occasionally seems wet, but she's the one who spends most of the time in the water.

Does everything else seems normal in the life of your duck?
Eating and drinking? She looks happy in her pool!:)

Yes, happy duck and she is eating good.....very good. Funny thing is she the one that doesn't get in the water often. This could be a normal look but never really paid much attention- I could be over thinking this one cause of the cold weather we are getting...and 1st time duck owner

This time of year, we are done with pools. We've been as low as 10º in the last week at night. I let mine swim until the pool freezes. Remember, the water in a pool would be above 32º. And they will go in the water in the water pan all winter and drive me nuts. That water will be about 35º all winter.

I, occasionally, will bring one in at a time to have a nice dip in my tub. But that means I have to scrub the tub after...so that doesn't happen but once a month. HAha!!

Howdy fellow Michigander!!! Are you in the UP or down in the mitten?

Yep.... the pool will be done this week. It's gonna get to 50 midweek so they better live it up! Lol after that I don't know what we will do:th

Hello....I think she is molting and if laying eggs?..The Drake is breeding her..You can toss out some dry cat food a couple times a week for the added protein...Feathers are protein...
Hi,
She just started to lay eggs this week. I've gotten an egg a day so far..I give them about 2 cups of kale a day mostly in the morning before I leave for work. I thought that if she is laying eggs then she wouldn't go through a molt? I just went and got oyster shells and put it in a separate bowl. They get apples a couple times a week from the DH.....does she need more protein than that? I am just concerned that she will get too cold at night with her looking/being so wet...
