Does the color of their eggs matter?

I have a white leghorn hen that lays nothing but brown eggs. Everything I have read about white leghorns says they should lay white eggs. I know it probably doesn't matter but I'm just curious if anyone else has had this happen? Maybe she is a mixed breed chicken?

She is most likely a mix. The color of the eggs has no effect on taste or nutrition.

Yes!! She looks just like that. I was told that she is a white leghorn when I bought her but the speckled Sussex that I bought turned out to be a black sex link. I wouldn't be surprised if my "white leghorn" is not actually a white leghorn.

I will never buy from them again lol my "bantam" turned out to be a gersey giant. That thing was 14 lbs! Definitely not a bantam lol I think maybe their chicks got mixed up and they guessed what they were and sold them anyways. Now I have come to find out that 3 out of 6 were not what they said they were.
