Does the Nite Gaurd light work?

There's a fair amount of negative feedback on these types of products. Predators are generally too smart to be frightened for very long. It's better to build a safer coop and run. Mary

I agree. If they work at all it is only for a short period of time. I have had a bit more luck with motion sensored battery operated lights moved around to different spots at my coop. But most predators get acclimated to any of these lights and they cease to be any kind of deterrent if they were a deterrent to begin with. Best bet is a Fort Knox coop.

I bought some Nite Guards a few months back just for added measure. (I have a very safe coop; I'm just overly protective of my girls). So far there haven't been any signs of any visitors in the barn or to the run that is attached to their coop. However, I do move the lights around about every 2-3 nights as I've read that is recommended.

Best bet is lots of cage traps. And hang the dead predators on the fence line as a deterrent to others.
