Does this egg indicate a problem?

The Egg Quality Guide gives some insight into eggshells and what might be considered a defect form a commercial standpoint. The majority are purely cosmetic like that, has nothing to do with how safe the egg is. Customers at the grocery store or supermarket expect perfect eggs and might get upset at anything that looks at all different.

@nuthatched is correct, just a few calcium spots, some hens are more prone to that than others. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the egg. You can eat it or you can hatch it if it is fertile.
