Hey y’all, im not too sure if i’m posting in the right forum. I’m looking to adopt this EE from a neighbor of mine. Before I do, i’m concerned about her neck area. Is this normal for EEs to have?

That’s a Salmon Favorolle, and can you clarify what’s concerning you?

Is she for sale? Make sure to quarantine new birds for at least a month. During the quarantine, I deworm any new additions and watch for diseases. Checking for mites and lice and other abnormalties is a good idea as well.
Technically yes, he has 5 of them that he’s looking to get rid of. I’m new to this whole chicken thing so i’m trying to get as much information as i can. How do you deworm your chickens?

Orally give it to each chicken via syringe, directly into the beak. My flock free ranges so I do it 2 times a year. Its a large task. I recommend safeguard or Valbazen (this seems to be more popular). For mites and lice, DE doesnt work well, use permethrin.
