Does this look infected?

I looked all over the bottle for dosing frequency, but couldn't see anything. its for cows, swine and sheep, so hopefully its ok . i believe it's a 100 ml. bottle and its the 300 (or 3000) strength. says it has penicillin and procaine...one of them had a g after the name. i assumed its the pro pen g people speak of...wouldnt that be the every other day stuff? i guess i'll have to check it when i get home from work. i'll post again tonight. thanks.

i'm not sure. she's skin and bones. i'm at work now so will have to try and weigh when i'm home tonight. i gave the 1/4 cc dose.

i didn't catch that she had an impacted crop until it had soured. at that stage, i didn't know what i was dealing with. it took about a week to determine what was wrong with her... vomited her, treated her sour crop with monistat, etc. about a week into it i determined she had an impacted crop. spend another half a week trying to soften it. last wednesday i realized she wouldn't be able to pass it. took out the impaction. she has continued to eat through all of this. i wondered about worms, but haven't seen any sign of them at all. i think she had just gotten very thin before i realized what was up. i have been giving her scrambled eggs, earlier in the process yogurt...now i just put a little in her moistened mash, but she seems to like it without the yogurt, so i'm catering to whatever she will actually eat. yesterday i gave her some mealworms which she loved.

If she is as thin as I think she might be, you need to go buy some Kaytee baby bird food, a tube, a syringe, and start tubing her.

It should be 300,000 IU per ml, so dose is:

Weight of bird in pounds, divide by 2.2, time 100, divide by 297

1 pound / 2.2 x 100 / 297 = 0.15 ml per pound
