does this look like angel wing?

My 3 month old drake has been holding his wing like this for about 3 weeks now. His father has angel wing in one wing and it looks a lot worse than this. I was hoping he would be able to pull it back up eventually but it has been like this for weeks now. It looks like he tries to tuck it back in place but he never gets it completely in place. I had to hatch him a day after his brothers and sisters so i think he may have a bit of brain damage and he has always been tiny compared to the other ducks. One of his sisters also had angel wing i taped it and fixed it though but this doesn't look the same.

That does not look like angel wing to me. Have you tried niacin supplements? I would try 150 mg niacin per gallon of drinking water for a month or so.

Not no-flush or timed release, just capsules you can empty into water. Storey's Guide recommends it for niacin deficiency. Neurological problems sometimes respond to the extra vitamins.

Nah i haven't tried niacin yet, i will definitely try it. I still have some niacin capsules from when i had problems with one of my ducklings legs thanks for the help

Sometimes, when duck are maturing and growing feathers, the blood flow to their wings is intensified. This creates extra weight, subsequently causing the wing to "sag." I am not expert, however, it looks to me as though your drake's wing is simply sagging, as opposed to having angel wing.

Just watch him. It should lift pack up in time.

***If at any time you notice that his wing is actually turning outward, then take him to the vet. It his wing turns outward then he likely has angel wing. So, just watch him. As I said, I think it will likely just raise up again in time...

I had 2 ducks whose wings sagged like that, at different times as they were both maturing. They eventually raised back up and nestled in nicely, right where they were supposed to go.

Did your duck's wing always look like that, or is this new?

No that is not AW... looks like a sagging/drooping wing. I'd have to refer to my guide to ducks on medical issues... Amiga's suggestion is worthwhile...

The wing has been like this since he grew flight feathers. He lifts it up some times. He had it normal for a few minutes yesterday im hoping it is just sagging. His wing feathers on the other wing have come out of the quills and look like normal feathers, but the sagging wing still has half of the feathers covered in the the plastic looking quill they get when they have blood feathers i checked for injuries but i couldn't see anything that looked painful and he didn't seem to be in any pain when i stretched his wing out.

Okay there is reference, lazy wing... what are they fed?
