He died overnight. Everyone is perfectly healthy.. no symptoms of illness. I saw these possible spider bite marks and what looks like a swollen leg. I'm trying to figure out why he died.

Oh, didn't realize he was already dead. So sorry for your loss. But had you noticed limping or anything prior to his death? That leg looks very swollen and bruised, so could have been a bone injury that got infected inside.

Didn't notice anything. I spend every night putting them into the coop(they will be 8 weeks tomorrow). I sit with them and they come on me. Sweet little chicks. No limping. Just happy birds. Eating, drinking and playing around. They are little still so I don't even allow them out of the pen.

At that young age an animal could simply "fail to thrive." and you might never know. I am sorry you lost him, but a spider bite seems far fetched to me. <3

Sorry for your loss. What is your general location? It could be possible, but is it warm enough for spiders now? Were there any symptoms before he died?
