Does this look normal??

Thank you guys!

Diesel doesn't play too rough with Token? they look so adorable together but can't help but feel nervous when I see dogs and ducks together. especially young dogs and ducklings.
I have dogs of my own and they are around the ducks all the time but I would never leave them all fenced up together. Just too easy for play to get out of hand.

I'd think the same if they weren't inseparable!

Ever since we got Token they haven't left each other's side, they do everything together; eat, sleep, and play. I guess it just depends on how a person raises their dog

We Trust Diesel to protect him.

I understand that and I applaud you for raising him to protect Token but what I am getting at is when Token gets to breeding age he will become a different duck, he may even want to try and breed with Diesel, which Diesel may not appreciate. Drakes kinda go bonkers when the hormones begin to take over. Are you sure Token is a drake?

I read into what you said Miss Lydia, the stories are crazy about how drakes rape ducks. Thank you for the heads up, we will probably just end up splitting them up during spring time. Or maybe getting him a female.

The guy we bought him from told us he was male. But i'm not 100% sure

The only way that person would have known would have been to vent sex which unless your an expert can be pretty difficult. how old is token now? there are things to watch for that will give you a clue to sex, voice for one ducks quack loudly drakes are raspy and much quieter, drakes get the drake feather at starting around 4-5 months old. Google it drake feather so you can see what it looks like. I'm thinking Token may still be too young to tell but they do grow fast.
