Oh wow they're adorable!!! Mama does look close. Mine is within days of kidding also!!! It's a precious experience if she trusts you enough to be present. Do you know how to be a midwife if necessary? It's not usually an issue. Mother Does are very receptive to their young. Even first x mothers have that natural God given instinct. I prepared myself though for that " just in case" moment.

. My Does allow me to watch. But I give them their much needed space. If you've got any ?'s,don't hesitate to ask and I'll do my best to be of assistance. Congrats on your precious little babes! Love the pics and will send some soon. Busy day on the farm! God Bless.

Here are some pics! I'll send more. So mama is the brown with white on sides of belly. (One actually resembles Italy!). Her name is Sassy. Her daughters,left of her,Shasta and right of her,Sadie. The huge tan goat is my Billy,Buster. He's the daddy of the twins and the Billy I just sold. (Sawyer,which was Audrey's first kid) As well as the unborn kids. And the beauty that resembles a cow is Audrey. She's Sassys daughter from a previous kidding. My two grown Does are at different stages in their pregnancies. Sassy is the closest! You still with me?!?! Lol!!!

Ok. Yes he was such a sweet spirited little boy! I have some websites for you to help you understand the goat labor signs. I was going to post it in your other thread. (That I just came across!). I needed help too when I was new to the goat world. Each mama is different. But you'll learn in due time,and be able to decipher which mama has certain signals of labor and which doesn't. Some show days prior ,some only hours .....!!! Nevertheless it's all so exciting!!!

Does it have any big chunks of food stuck together? See if your goat likes it; most importantly.
