i have two healthy black chicks and I was wondering if they are male or female. As this past week went by I noticed that there is more detailing on their feathers and one of them is starting to grow tail feathers. I was wondering whether this indicates if it's a girl or boy?!?!?

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :) That does not indicate whether it is a pullet or a cockerel. If you have any more similar questions, trying posting them in the "What Breed Or Gender Is This?" section.

It's hard to tell gender at that age, can you post a picture again in a few weeks?

Yep, early all right. But a lot of breeds you can tell by them feathering out. But, watch out! They can be sneaky, and then you have to change their names!
