Does this mean she is about to start laying or did she change genders?

What does the squatting mean? My chickens just started laying this week and I think only 2 are laying out of 8. I have noticed that 3 of them do this squatting thing when I get close. I thought they wanted to be petted. LoL

Lol, it's their way of getting into...ahem...position for a rooster It can also be a submissive thing caused by the hormones

Mine all run from us. My girls like to chase/catch them too often The oldest BOs will come to my feet and eat treats but run if I try and pet them.

I cant wait for some colored eggs! The wait is killing me!!
