Does this product sound safe to use with ducks?

I know the water will still need to be changed but I'm wondering if this product would make cleaning the pool less often. I guess the only way to find out will be to try it. I will try it after I've had the ducks for a while so I can compare how often I need to change the water without it versus with it.
