Does this say what I think it says?

Hey guys, just got back in town and had this email........

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your offer, I will certainly take you up on it! I have read the thread on the Backyard Chickens forum with interest. Do you mind posting this to the forum for me if you see fit? I will also email the same response to another one of your community members who has emailed me and wants to write an article(so whoever gets a chance to post it first).

Thanks,
Dave.

Dear Backyard Chickens Forum Community,

We at Supergreenme.com value your commentary and have read your thread on the organic egg article with interest. We really do appreciate that you’ve assisted us in correcting an article by one of our community members.

Further, we recognize the need to showcase correct information via our site on this important topic.

It’s a topic that means a lot to our community, given its close link with sustainable living. I personally share the connection with this hobby as I grew up with backyard chickens for the first 20 years of my life.

As you know, backyard chickens have the following benefits to sustainable living:

- Reusing food scraps

- Reducing food miles

- Connecting the family with nature

- Improves comprehension of what goes into producing your food

- Improves health overall (i.e. organic farming)

- Chicken poo is great for gardens and compost heaps.

- The enjoyment of caring for chickens as pets

So this is an important topic we would like to cover well.

We acknowledge that through your passion related to your personal experience with raising backyard chickens, you could really assist those who are pursuing the same ideals as yourselves. You really are subject matter experts, via real world practical experience, reading and discussion on your forum.

Several of you have expressed an interest in sharing your knowledge by writing some articles to be published on SuperGreenMe. I reiterate this request, and emphasize, I could not think of more passionate, knowledgeable writers on this subject!

Hence, for those of you who would like to publish an article, here are your options:

1. You could sign up to http://www.supergreenme.com/ and publish under your own name

2. You could simply email the articles to us and we’ll upload them for you

3. We could set up a ‘Backyard Chicken Forum’ Profile which you could all collectively publish under I like this idea!

4. Any mixture of the above!

Certainly you would be able to reference the backyard chickens forum as you see fit (and any other related references etc.)

An example of some topics for articles would be:

- Free Range vs Free Run vs Cage: What’s the Difference?

- What goes into chicken food and why should you care?

- 5 reasons Backyard Chickens are sustainable

- How to build a chicken coop

- Things to consider before getting backyard chickens

- Best Chicken breeds to have in your backyard

- How to care for your chickens

- Food chickens love etc

- Top 10 Rooster pictures

- Top 10 Prize winning Chicken photos

- How to hatch chickens

- Weird chicken eggs you will never see in the store (photos of different coloured eggs)

The minimum length is usually around 400 words, with no real maximum. And if you have any photos to go with the articles, that would be awesome.

If you collectively publish 20 articles on the http://www.supergreenme.com/, I’ll donate $100 to the charity of your choice and promote that charity via an article/profile on the website indefinitely.

Thanks again for all of your valuable feedback!

Yours Sustainably,

David Toomey

Wow, that's a great response! Not one that I expected. Also, it's boosts the reputation of Supergreenme in my eyes. Perhaps they can partner with some of BYC's sister sites.

I agree option 3 is a good way to post on the site. That no one person would have to do all the work.

So how many of you guys who saw the original article want to participate? I say we could each take a topic from the email's suggested list - as a start and submit here a rough draft. Then wee can review, edit and submit to the website as a group. Ideas? Thoughts?
