Does this say what I think it says?

Excellent idea!

I got the e-mail too.

While I think it would be great for them to have a well-written factual article on chickens and eggs on their website, I would hesitate to associate my name with a group of people who had so little concern for the facts. If the egg article was wrong, you know that other postings are too. Someone in the last three years had to have told them that this just wasn't so. My prediction is that after everything has died down, the original article will be reposted. JMHO

I recommend caution with this website.....

I got an email back as well, it must be a common thing since the email seems pretty generic since we all got the same reply.

I liked this part:
However want to replace it with a more accurate article. It seems you are very knowlegable on this subject. Just wondering if you would like to write an article for me about Organic eggs / Free Range Eggs so I can publish the true story?

All I said was the article contained incorrect information... I'm pretty knowledgeable

I think a group article is an awesome idea, has anyone started a thread for input? Who wants to write it?

I think the fact that a whole bunch of people from a forum bombarded them with letters got their attention.

This would be my guess. I did reply to the email and asked what the parameters of the article should be - length and content. I haven't heard back.......

Ahhh. I was scratching my head for a minute there.

They still have mis-information listed. "Free range" is defined by the USDA, and does NOT require time outside a building or on pasture. Their definition of "free run" is pretty close to the official definition of "free range." IFF I purchased store eggs, I would look for the term "pastured" or a paragraphical description of the bird's living environment. And I could care less as to whether the eggs are organic or not--actually, since organic disallows animal protein, I would NOT want organic eggs. I am much more concerned with the quality and ingredients of the feed than whether they are organic or not. Same as for the food I eat.

Dang. I would love to write an article. Oh well. I'm still battling the people at work who think I'm nuts when I say there aren't any embryos in the fertilized eggs when they're laid. When that happens, I always wish I had some hard-boiled, green and brown eggs right handy to cut open and show 'em there's no embryos in 'em. Oh, for the want of a hard-boiled egg when ya need one!
