@ kenk that is the price I thought too. Yes everyone's price seems to be about the same.

The only thing I can think of is that if you call a surveyor and ask "how much to survey 20 acres?" they might give you a price based on the worst possible twenty acres to survey that they have ever seen. Maybe yours is, I don't really know, but that just seems crazy high to me.

be sure you ask for an estimate to divide 20 acres into parcels. You aren't surveying "20 acres", it's going to be surverying 5 4AC plots (or whatever size you are doing).

that could explain the differences in estimates.
