Does water drownd lice/mites eggs?

I have also discovered a lice problem among my birds. I bought Livestock Dust at TSC and dusted everyone last weekend. They say the life cycle for hatching is 10 days, so I will re-dust everyone in another 4 days. Good luck.

I went through two bottles on 29 chickens. I held them by their feet, gently tipped them upside down (until they look dead....lol) they lay there with wings hanging and don't fight. I had my husband sprinkle a little under each wing and a lot on their bums. We also put a small zip tie on one leg so we knew who had been done. I'll remove it when we sprinkle them again.

On that Link I sent you tells you how you can apply. Also if you have some old panty hoses you can fill them with the powder & use that like a powder puffer. Makes it easy to get under the wings. Just avoid eye contact. Also if they take a dust bath put the powder in the dirt or sand where they take their dirt bathes.
