Does your Roo ever sound like a coffee maker?

That totally sounded like a coffee maker... was he watching her lay the egg when he was making that sound? She was facing the right way for him to see it.

It is so funny that you posted this yesterday.. My husband and I went outside to talk business away from the kids.. and we started watching one of our polish chicks (with a perfect hen tail I might add) started this gobling noise seriously sounded like a turkey... I tried to get a video but when I got the camera she(hopefully) stopped doing it.. while she was doing it she would lean forward and her tail would go up and it drew all the other chickens to her.. the strange sounds you hear from chickens..

He had been separated from Midnight for a week, and this was their 2nd day together. She is his only hen right now and her head is bald. He was so happy to see her. He loves protecting her when it is egg laying time. I have another video of him trying to coax her to lay an egg behind a box!

My rooster crows normally, but today he was making that exact same sound as your roo is on the utube video! I was wondering what he was doing??? Anyone know what that means in chicken language? I thought it sounded like the sounds on those recordings that whales make -- kind of sonar like -- underwater.
