Hi, I was just wondering My Roo is always Mounting my Female cochin, sometimes when he is done hell hop on another but most of the time it is her.

Should her eggs be fertile?

if hes mating with one, hes mating with all of them.

And if he's mating with them, then they are making fertile eggs.

I get fertile eggs year round. If you have a rooster and you have a hen, you forever have fertile eggs.

Just remember to collect them daily.. after 24 hours veins start to form within the egg, and at 42 hours the heart begins to beat. Although, its not much, when you crack em' into the frying pan there's only a little red spot.

When you crack one open look for the bulls eye/donut to see if they are fertile.
The fertile eggs don't start to develop until they are brought to incubation temperature. They can sit on a counter or nest forever at room temperature without development. They may go bad but they won't grow.
