My Roo crows just once in awhile in the morning before I open the doors. (large 10 ft door) as soon as that door is open he is like.."ok all you ladies - time to get up now" & crows up a storm. I have also heard him "talking" to a wild turkey in the mornings, Roo crows & Turkey Gobbles back at him...silly boys!

Glad to know that my rooster Zeus is not the only show off. He's even crows when someone drives up. A watch roo?

Thor's not crowing yet. When they both are I might not find it as amusing as I do now.

If Lucas and I are talking in 'the yard' the Broiler Boys will try to crow over us, which is amusing until we are trying to tell eachother something important...like when we were building the bucket nest boxes today.

Our rooster Huey seems to crow whenever the mood strikes him.

He's pretty good at waiting until the break of dawn these days, but once up and about, he crows randomly throughout the day. Can't tell for the life of us what sets him off.

He does seem to crow most in the morning, and then tapers off a bit as the day goes on.

I dunno-- the inscrutable mind of the rooster completely eludes me.
