I had the chicks (3 weeks) running around in a sectioned off part of the living room. I was unaware my daughter had put up a heavy board in front of the stairs to keep them all from going up. During supper I heard a chick screaming and I ran to find one babe pinned under the board. I quickly removed the board and he got up and scurried away. He seems a little wobbly but is breathing fine and no apparent external injuries. Of course, me being me, I am petrified he has an internal injury. How long do you think it would take before there was something obviously wrong if there are internal injuries or something not immediate?
