Hi guys I have a cream barbanter that just never laid eggs she is going to be a year old this month. Is that normal for this breed? Other then that she is completely healthy! Thank you for all feed back. She also lives with two other hens around her age who have been laying for a while now. They eat the same food and calcium so there are no differences in feed and environment.

Pictures? Unlikely but is it possible you have a very slow maturing roo?

In any case, it is certainly possible for a hen to never lay due to some issue or another. If you are happy to keep her anyways then just enjoy her, otherwise eat or rehome her with full disclosure. Either way nothing you can do to make her lay, either she will or she won't

This is her photo I can take a better one in the morning.

Are you sure she isn't laying? It maybe she doesn't sit in the nest box long. I know my Barnevelders are laying because they are the only brown layers in my group but never see them in a nest box. My blue layers like to hang out in the nest box whether they are laying or not. Other than isolating I'd have a hard time figuring out who is laying with blue layers as egg size and tint varies even with the same hen.

So i have 2 hens with her one lays tiny eggs because she is a D'uccle and the other lays blue eggs i was reading that cream barbanters lay white eggs. If she lays blue eggs it could be a possibility for her to be laying. But I'm not sure if her breed lays blue eggs
