Thank you for telling me her breed! Sorry it has taken so long to get back, but it is the holidays and new grandbabies and living in a construction zone (putting in 2 new bathrooms). Last but not least little Dot managed to fly out of the coop again and this time my dog and the neighbors dog cornered her! They did some damage to her bum and left her with only 1 tail feather. I managed to rescue her and held her for about an hour while she cowered (or snuggled) into my arm. Then I brought her into the house in her own box, stuffed it with hay and food and water, along with a heat lamp. I also dabbed peroxide on her several times. On the 4th day she laid an egg so I put her with the others. They left her alone and now 3 weeks later she is doing just fine, back to her bossy self with the rooster even to taking the treats I give them right out of his mouth or chases him away! Little brat!

Now I'm off to find those last minute gifts for those last minute guests...Thank you again everyone.
