Dog Attack, Chicken skinned

It is very unfortunate that vets for chickens are a) either not avaiilable or in our case b) EXTREMELY expensive. As much as I love my birds, I cannot justify a $75 vet visit to simply diagnose a problem. We are, more oftten than not, required to perform our own veterinary services on our birds. I tried to treat a young chick with who knows what was wrong, something with her digestion?? and she died shortly after. I felt like it was my fault, but I try to tell myself I did the best I could, but its not much reconsiliation.

I'm now trying to treat a club foot. Very hard.

I would keep it as clean as possible, do the antibiotic thing if possible, and keep her as calm and happy as possible while she heals. There is a product called Blu Kote that I use for minor scrapes, but I don't know the extent of your bird's injury and am not sure if it could be used for your hen. I know it at least stops other birds from bothering the wound and offers some sort of healing protection.
