Trish, my neighbor keeps getting dogs (herding dogs) and then they simply run loose, not fixed and they also have this ANNOYING little Chihuahua that attacks every person who walks down the street. The little turd barks at me while I am on MY side, and I spray the hose her direction...she runs. I have expressed concern before, and they laugh. Every one of the older dogs they have had, has been hit by a car, and the last herder dog used to come over, poop and then leave. He disappeared one day....no, I had nothing to do with it. Trouble is, we have to live next to them, we have been on our property longer but still.
I feel anyone who cannot FIX their dog or cat, train the dog, clean up after the dog and respect the neighbors should not get dogs or cats. They have been the source of many feral cats who have dropped kittens in our yard, which we then scoop up and bring to the shelter...when we try to catch the ferals, sometimes we catch a skunk. Now THAT's some fun stuff.

I hate irresponsible animal owners.

Sounds like there are a couple wild animals living near you that are in need of being "dispatched"...

...You should probably do something about those dogs, too!

Seriously; people (like your neighbors) make violent feelings well up from deep within... And I am truly a very easy going person. A dog/puppy killed a few of our birds when they were young. I was angry at the dog, but I was darn right ticked at the owner. The poor dog is neglected, untrained, etc. It will follow me on my three mile walks at night sometimes. Poor thing just wants to be loved

If chickens are allowed in your area and your pullet DOES die, You could ACTUALLY tell your mayor etc. about the dogs and have them fenced in permanantly. Or, I think..... I'm srry if you loose your pullet again. XOXOXOXOXOX and Wishes for her!
