My instinct is saying that the dead/dry looking areas may need some gentle debridement, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Hoping some more experienced folks weigh in on that.

This is how my hen Ass Feathers... got her name... Cuz my dog got her and ripped her up just like that. She ain't smart anymore, but she's alive and lays... Your roo will be ok just doctor him up. And in the country there's the unwritten law if dogs are after your livestock you are allowed to shoot.

We redid his bandages... he is super weak... I just really don't think he will make it.

Make sure that he is drinking and eating a bit of chick feed mixed with water and egg.
