My dog got out of our backyard and ended up getting two of my hens. They both do have injuries on their backs that I put iodine on to try and disinfect as that's all I had on hand. One of the girls is up and walking around, eating and acting normal. The other is alert and has been drinking water but seems to have an injured leg. Shes limping pretty bad and won't get up unless I get really close to her, which is when she try's to get up and run...I dont want to stress her out further but I dont know what else to do for them, especially for her leg! Any suggestions on what to do for her are greatly appreciated! I know I've read about blue kote for wounds? Would that be better than iodine?

Hello and welcome to BYC!
Sorry you are joining this site under these circumstances.
You can wash the wounds out well, dry the chicken and apply an antibiotic ointment WITHOUT pain reliever in it to the wounds.
For the one with the injured leg, you need to examine the leg to see the nature of the injury there. If the bones seem intact and there are not puncture wounds you may have missed, she may have pulled a muscle or has some other kind of soft tissue injury. It would be good to put her in a crate with a soft towel in it and food and water and force her to rest the leg for a few days. That will make treating her other wounds easier as well.
If these were my birds, I would keep the wounds uncovered and apply the antibiotic ointment once or twice a day for several days and monitor them for infection.
