That poor chicken...
I don’t know what else to give her but quick thinking! Dogs almost always kill for sport and won’t stop (like us humans) until they have finished the job. You are extremely lucky that chicken was able to survive without more damage! She could’ve have an very deep wound.

Woke up this morning to find my chicken didn’t make it thru the night. So sad. Such a pretty chicken. I guess her injuries were too extensive internally. I tried

aw girl I'm so sorry! You did an amazing job and more than others would even think of...She was a well treated and happy chicken...bless the souls she left behind.
