I'm a nurse, but only for 1 year and have cetainly never done anything like this. I thought about letting my hubby take care of her at first, but decided to see what Icould do for her. I read and browsed forums, used my knowlege of wound care with people, and got advice from all you and just tried to make it happen. We've had lots of wound cleaning "sessions" that she isn't fond of but there is cuddling and treats afterward for being such a strong girl. It hasn't been all me, Lucy is a fighter and I don't know that my other girls could have survived. She defintely holds a special place in my heart.
