dog attacks

Make sure you get the name of the person you speak with - if they'll let you record the conversation do so, otherwise memorialize the conversation in writing immediately (the person with the `best' story, i.e., most accurate, usually takes the day). .

Az is one of the few states where you can record a conversation without the other parties knowledge or permission. And it's permissable in court.

My own dog killled one of our hens yesterday-we have a bad set up, which created a bad situation. We have two bird hunting dogs (uggg) and I left the gate open while attending to my 2 year old after a fall. He didn't rip her up or anything-just crushed her.

A coyote usually just takes what it needs. A dog on a rampage can tear through an entire coop. Coyotes kill to survive. Sometimes a dog will do it for the sport of it. A lot depends on the dog, supervision and coop security.

Personally, I would inform the owner of the dog that you are putting down rat bait for vermin,
and he should be aware that if his dog comes in your yard you are not responsible-The Jerk!
Can you string electric wire?

Several years ago I took a trip and my sister was watching my chickens. I called he to tell her when I would be home so she came over and let the chickens out at the time I had stated. I was late and a dog had killed every hen I had.

My neighbor's dog saw the fun and got into it carrying several home. Neighbor dispatched his dog and I did the other one.

Dogs kill for fun and not for food. They will go from one chicken to the next.
