You say they are together 24/7. If she is ready and ovulating she will be more aggressive about her intentions to him like you are seeing wth her mounting him. I would try having part of the day when the are apart to...absence makes the heart grow fonder most of the times in dogs. Good for him to be able to smell her and not have access to her for a while. You'll probably see his drive go way up

Ok ill stick her in her crate and close the door to my room. How many hours a day should I leave her there?

Oh and does the flagging come with mounting him or does it go mounting the flagging afterward? Because right now Faux goes away everytime he sees her

becuz she wont leav him alone

Your girl will flag (tail moves to one side) if approached by the male and she is completely receptive. Some females will even do it if a person walks up behind them (pure biology working there). Flagging helps the male when he mounts so it goes *approach-flag-mount*

Do you have access to another older small male dog? A small chihuahua of good physical traits and temperament would be best. You might still have time for her to mate if another member of your family or a friend has an acceptable male. Sometimes young males, or especially submissive males are too timid to mate a more dominant female. I had a very beautiful male pup that I had planned on keeping for a stud from one litter, but he was a timid dog, so I had to choose another one. Temperament has a lot to do with mating too. There was another puppy that I sold that ended up winning a few shows. I have always regretted selling him, but at the time he just looked like he would end up being too big even though he had such a good profile. Live and learn.

I would but the main reason for this in particular is to get pups that look like the stud because I have a couple of people that want pups that look as close to him as possible. I have a friend who, just in case, is willing to help me with artifiacial insemenation. The weird thing is that he couldnt get off her last week and now she cant get off him lol. Will this keep going on when she starts to flag? Her mounting him that is?

Don't know sounds like she's just being coy with him, thats a stage too. His disinterest also miight be because he knows she isn't ovulating yet.

Update: OK so we still haven't seen any action with Faux so twice we artificially inseminated Mocha when she started to ovulate. For the last day or 2 she has been sorta moody which IS NOT her regular personality, somewhat tender in the tummy area, and her bleeding has almost stopped. She shouldn't be out of heat till the 6th of December o_O. What I would now like to know is are there any signs I should look for to tell if she is prego besides that?
Thanks Again, the Queen
